HB9CZF - SOAB LP

This was a hot contest. Outside temperature up to 35C, no wind, no thunderstorm. At midnight it was still 28C. I arrived at my shack late afternoon and 10m was already dead. 15m brought a good stream of QSO's over the pond with W0...W9 worked. 20m was noisy in the begining and I jumped right away to 40m. Half an hour before local sunset I was there and the first station I heard was JA3YBK with a tremendous S9+10dB signal. I've never heards such a loud JA before. To my surprise it was easy to crack several pile-ups with my 100W and the 41m LW. Later I found ZL6QH with a S9 signal and he told me I have a real s9 signal in Kiwi land.

QTC are a real winner. Until now I never got into it but Writelog makes live easy and I hope I copied them all right. The strategy in WAE is a bit different because 10 QTCs can dry out a pile-up.

New country was XU7ACU and while S&P-ing I found LA/DK3QN/p on 14063. Klaus was enjoying his holiday on Lofoten, EU-076. A new one for me.

Next plan will be WAE in RTTY. I've never done before but lets see how many computers, trx and antennas I need and how QTCs are going there.
