HB9CZF - SOAB LP CW

I had no big plans for RDXC and my 16 days old daughter gave me permission to sneak away for a few hours. The installation was the usual Ten-Tec Omni VI+ as Radio A and the Elecraft K2/100 as Radio B. Win-Test work flawlessly with EZMaster and I start to like the tidiness in my contest-shack. EZMaster really sorts out the mess with all wires.

Conds were as expected. I even found some K late afternoon on 15m and one told me I had a loud signal. This must be the gentle downhill slope towards North-America. On 20m it was a mess. I heard so many QSO running on top of each other and which one should I work? The upper or lower layer? On 40m the MUF had sunken to a very low level at 6pm and I had even trouble hearing a "simple" ON or OE. Manfred, DJ5MW, needed the HB multiplier again on the higher bands and QSY was a question on how fast the SteppIR could QSY, hi.

Around midnight I called it a day, packed up all equipment and drove home. Luckily Isabelle was sleeping all night :-)
