Russian DX Contest, 17-18 March 2007
HB9CZF - SO 20m HP CW
The main goal was to test the Ten-Tec Centurion PA on 20m. 15 and 10m wasn't very alive and the LW for 40/80m wasn't repaired yet. I turned the antenna direction RA and focused on working as many oblasts as possible. On Saturday it was mainly the European part of RA and on Sunday many RA9 and RA0 made it into my log. In order to stress the PA a bit I called CQ most of the time and I was surprised how many times my QRG was about to get stolen. 700+W into a 3el yagi on a hilltop is hard to beat :-)
Overall the Centurion worked fine and a quick tune up on 10 and 15m confirmed I have to replace both 3-500Z tubes.
