HE8CZF - SOAB HP assisted

In 2009 the Union of Swiss Short Wave Amateurs (USKA) is celebrating the 80th aniversary and we have got permission to air the HE8 prefix. I was only QRV for the four last hours of the contest on Sunday night. Due to much snow I had to carry the K3 & sleepingbag on my sledge. I started of on 20m with S&P up the band and settled later on 14054 kHz where I worked off the pile-up; tnx DXCluster. For the last 90 minutes of the contest I QSY-ed to 40m and was surprised about the enormous signals I heard. Only two station struggled with my HE8 prefix, hi.

Furthermore, I installed CW-Skimmer on my PC for the first time and I was able to see how fast the bandmap fills up. Even if you run a pile-up CW-Skimmer fills in the bandmap with callsigns during the RX phases.

The main excuse to go the hut was K5D on Desecheo Island. I worked them on 30m after a short time and a new entity was in my log.
