GM/SS-198 - East Lomond - 448m - 1 PointAs part for our Scotland holiday I planned a few SOTA activations. It turned out that the hills in Fife were barely activated on HF so far. GM/SS-198 could be squeezed into the family diary before having lunch in Kirkcaldy. I parked the car on the East side of the hill und walked to the top within 15 minutes. Weather was very windy and I had to errect my antenna on the East side instead of the preferred Southern slope towards Central Europe. 30 August 2009: 10:50 - 11:12 UTC 22 CW QSO on 7031.5 kHz Temperature: 15C
The track was recorded with a Holux M-241, exported as gm_ss198.kmz and imported to Google Earth. |
