This is the trig point of GW/SW-015 a bit further than the highest point of Mynydd Llangorse. The peak of GW/SW-001 - Pen Y Fan can be seen on the horizon to the left. Yes, GW/SW-009 - Mynydd Troed is higher compared to GW/SW-015.

After the incident involving a sheep and my pole I had second thoughts about not activating the second hill on the same day, however, the weather was so beautiful, I couldn't resist. With the 5 lower sections of the pole remaining I aired this two pointer as well. In order to get a decent signal into Central Europe I placed my antenna right at the ridge which adds additional gain with the sloping terrain. If you look carefully at my antenna wire you can see the strong wind coming up the hill.

With a shorter pole the ladder line was obviously too long. I simply laid it on the ground and let the built in antenna tuner master the task. On 40m an SWR of 1.1:1 with L = 5uH and C = 60pF and on 30m an SWR of 1.1:1 with L = 2.1uH and C = 0pF. The usual tuner readings can be seen on my SOTA pages of GW/SW-016, -020, -026 and -033. This is one of the many narrow single file roads I've seen in SW-Wales.
